Family Advocacy
The Children’s Advocacy Centers of Nevada are dedicated to providing victim support and family advocacy services. This is why we deploy a team of expert social workers to help families in crisis.
Our social work team assists families and victims in a variety of tasks. They provide therapeutic services to mitigate trauma for victims and non-offending family members, coordinate victim services, assist in the navigation of the Child Protective Services and law enforcement investigative processes, educate family members about sexual abuse and trauma responses, and provide support during intake as children and families work with the center.
The staff at Children’s Advocacy Centers across Nevada understand that navigating the investigative process can be challenging for children and families. For this reason, we offer the services of our family advocates to provide guidance and support to non–offending caregivers throughout the investigation.
