The Washoe County Child Advocacy Center ACCREDITED CHAPTER
About the Center:

The mission of The Washoe County Child Advocacy Center is to ensure the health and safety of the child in a child-friendly environment for the purpose of minimizing trauma, providing advocacy, and supporting effective investigations and prosecutions.

This Child Advocacy Center is a child-friendly facility in which law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, mental health, medical and victim advocacy professionals work together to investigate alleged abuse, help children heal, and hold offenders accountable.

The Washoe County Child Advocacy Center, through a coordinated multi-disciplinary team approach, provides direct services to child abuse victims and their non-offending caregivers.

About the Center:

Operated by Clark County and housed in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Southern Nevada Children’s Advocacy Center (SNCAC) brings together a multi-disciplinary team of child abuse professionals to investigate claims of child neglect, exploitation and other forms of abuse while providing care and advocacy for children and non-offending family members in a safe setting designed to minimize the impact of trauma.

The Great Basin Children’s Advocacy Center works with a number of local agencies including the Sheriff’s Office, the District Attorney, and the Department of Child and Family Services to investigate claims of child abuse, exploitation or neglect while providing victimized children and non-offending families with resources for support and healing throughout the process.

Located in Pahrump, Nevada, the Nye County Children’s Advocacy Center (NCCAC) uses a multi-disciplinary team approach for the treatment of children victims of child sexual assault or criminal physical injury or neglect in partnership with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, the Nye County Attorney’s Office, the Department of Child and Family Services and other pertinent community groups.
